The EMU Australia Pioneer ankle boots are a rugged take on the classic Chelsea boot. Made from waterproof black suede which will develop a beautiful patina, they’re lined with Australian sheepskin to keep your feet cosy and warm in cold winter weather. Set on a durable rubber outsole with a grippy wave texture, the slip-on silhouette has heel pull loops and hidden side gores to pull them on and off.

Ladies Pioneer Black boots
I wanted a wool lined ankle boot with a good sole to wear under trousers and with thick tights and a skirt. These are warm boots with a good non slip sole and definitely waterproof, however the right boot is definitely wider than the left so gapes a bit more at the ankle and when I look down I can see it is wider. I know I should have sent them back but I discussed with my husband who said it wasn’t that noticeable but I am conscious of the discrepancy which spoils them for me. However the left boot is a perfect and slimmer, I couldn’t tell whether they were an odd pair as I couldn’t find any code numbers. However they do what is advertised but a pity, had they been the same I would have been overjoyed with them.

Wonderful
I was looking for some Chelsea boots that were warm and easy to get on and off. These are perfect, fantastically warm due to the sheepskin lining. The outer is a lovely smooth oily nubuck leather. Simply perfect!
