Grenson Men's Lewis Suede Brogue Boot
Traditionally considered outdoor attire for the countryside , Brogues were originally designed to protect feet from becoming sodden, the perforated holes letting out any water the shoe took in, when one was out in the bogs.
Now they are the ultimate fashion statement in men’s footwear, perfectly formed and pristinely constructed, the beautiful scalloped edging and cut-out detail create an elegant yet businesslike shoe.
This suede Brogue boot is a great adaptation featuring all the brogue detail but with a taller leather ankle and lightweight design. The detail on these boots is exquisite, metal eyelets for the lace fastening, cut-out hole patterns and scalloped edging. Stitching around the base and double layered leather heel makes these men’s brogue boots the re-birth of the modern gentleman. Plus the modern addition of a Vibram sole adds cushion and comfort to an effortless men's boot.
Features:
- Suede upper
- No lining for extra softness
- Rubber sole
- Laces fastening
About Grenson
Mr William Green founded Grenson in 1866 in Northamptonshire, UK. They specialised in making high-quality men’s shoes. Initially the company was called Green & Son, before merging the names together to become Grenson. The factory which Mr Green opened in 1874 was the first in the world to use the Goodyear welting construction method, which is now a hallmark of all well-made British shoes. The business was sold in 1980 to the Purslow family who ran the business for nearly thirty years before selling it to Tim Little in 2010. Now an established shoe maker, Grenson still produce a high standard of shoes and boots for the uber stylish. - L.S
