What to Wear to Coachella

Coachella is quite possibly the most stylish festival there is. Hot desert weather means carefree, boho summer style at its best, with no need for wellies, raincoats or those questionable rain ponchos we’ve all sported at some point mid-downpour. With the ’70s trend still going strong this season, Coachella will be the best festival to embrace that hippy look, as well as bold colours and prints. From gladiator sandals and espadrilles, to ankle boots and sliders, here’s what to wear to Coachella.

The Caged Sandal

A statement shoe, the strappy, lace-up or gladiator sandal is perfect for evoking festival style. Choose the classic knee-high from MICHAEL Michael Kors, futuristic metallic style from Loeffler Randall, or contemporary heeled sandal from Senso.

The Ankle Boot

For the guys at Coachella, it’s all about that retro rock ‘n’ roll look with a pair of suede Chelsea boots, Desert boots or ankle boots. These kind of boots get better with age, so no need to worry about scuffing them at the festival.

The Espadrille

The ultimate summer shoe, espadrilles are easy to wear and will go with any look. For Coachella, metallic, monochrome or bold graphic flowers work best.

The Slider

Get kitted out for all of those pool parties at Coachella with a new pair of sliders. From retro-inspired rubber styles to classic Birkenstocks, choose your style and fully embrace the trend.

A fan of all things minimalist, I prefer to invest in a few simple pieces each season and am a big believer that you can never own too many pairs of black flats. I’m constantly on the search for the coolest new brands, so you’re most likely to find me surrounded by magazines when I’m not blogging. That, or binge watching Netflix.
